About Us
Eiko Shaul, principal of Shaul InfoResearch, has a liberal arts background, yet, in one of those life’s unexpected turns, she worked as a manager of a life science research laboratory at the University of Toronto for many years.
She managed the entire process of research projects gathering and incorporating information into projects and co-authored articles, many of which were initiated by her, for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
What Eiko enjoyed most during the research years was the hunt and the discovery of new information relevant to research topics. She also enjoyed building a worldwide network with other researchers in the field, helping and learning from each other by sharing information to solve problems.
With her research background and with her natural curiosity to learn new things, Eiko started her own company specializing in information research for businesses.
Originally from Japan, Eiko is bilingual in English and Japanese (read, write and speak) and Shaul InfoResearch uses this capability offering services in English and in Japanese, covering Japanese and North American businesses.
Much of the work by the company focuses on the research of industries, markets, competitors, companies, products/services and personnel in North America and in Japan.
The company also helps businesses in finding and putting together background and substantiating information for their projects and assignments.
Eiko is an active member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) (http://www.aiip.org/ ) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada ( http://www.amchamcanada.ca/ ) and also a member of the Women in International Trade Organization (WITO) – Toronto chapter ( http://www.wito.org/ ).
